On July 27, 1997, the University of Mississippi Libraries' Department of Archives & Special Collections unveiled a multi-case exhibition entitled, "A Faulkner 100: The Centennial Exhibition." This display coincided with the 1997 Faulkner and Yoknapatawpha Conference, whose theme "Faulkner at 100: Retrospect and Prospect," commemorated the centennial year of the author's birth. On November 20, 2001, the U.S. Department of Justice Main Building was renamed the Robert F. Kennedy Department of Justice Building in honor of the former attorney general. Part of the celebration included an exhibit entitled The Kennedy Justice Years 1961-1964. The extensive display included materials related to Robert F.
