June 21st Exhibit Opening Event in Special Collections!

Special Collections cordially invites you to the official opening reception for its current bicentennial exhibition, “Mississippi: 200 Years of Statehood" on Wednesday, June 21st from 5 pm-7 pm. The program will feature a video statement from former Governor William Winter and a keynote address by author, journalist and editor W. Ralph Eubanks entitled, “Mississippi History and its Interpretation.” There will be refreshments and a chance to spend some time viewing the exhibit before and after the program. The official bicentennial exhibit reception was made possible by a grant from the Mississippi Humanities Council, through support from the Mississippi Development Authority. The event is free and open to the public.
