What are “Continuing Resources”?

Question:

What are “Continuing Resources”?

Answer:

Continuing Resources are any materials that intend to be published continuously for an unspecified amount of time. These materials include journals and newspapers. Microfilm are included in this category because they usually duplicate journals and newspapers. Databases are included because they also intend to continue indefinitely. Other types of electronic resources are included because the library has to pay for them over time, for as long as we want to continue using them.
