Collections are the cornerstone of the library. Our collections include historical materials and the most current information available in certain fields. Our library collects many types of materials for our users, including books, journals, databases, government documents, maps, microforms and music. Many of these materials now come in digital formats which can be more easily accessed from a distance and after hours. We also have special collections and archives which focus on Mississippiana and the American South. Monetary donations help expand our ability to acquire these different collections. Gifts in kind also enable us to add unique materials to the collection.
