My role:

As Assistant Dean for Technical Services & Automation, I provide leadership and vision for the Technical Services division including Metadata & Digital Initiatives as well as Continuing Resources (see organizational structure). I also directly supervise two areas without department heads: government documents processing and automation (integrated library system). I have implemented a number of user services including ILLiad, A-Z services, link resolvers, off-campus proxy server, citation software, Google Scholar Linking Service, LibX and the library’s first discovery service. My goal is to help researchers access the information they need and preserve collections for the future.
