About

The Dr. Charles Noyes Graduate Reading Room is a quiet study alcove. It is an inviting space with several tables, soft furniture and lighting.  The room is meant for graduate students and it does have strict no noise policy.

"As a graduate student, I appreciate having a space of our own."

How this room got it's name...

Dr. Charles Noyes was Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Director of the Summer Session, Professor of English and long-term member of Friends of Libraries. This space is named after him in honor of his contribution to the University of Mississippi and Friends of Libraries.

Directions

Enter the J.D. Williams Library from the west (fountain) side and come up the elevator or the stairs. The Noyes Graduate Reading Room is an alcove located on the west side of the building.

If you enter from the second floor east (Lyceum) side, come up the stairs and wind your way through the building, past the Writing Center and the main staircase, there you will find the Noyes Graduate Reading Room.
